VURRA FC OFFICIALLY WITHDRAWS FROM WESTNILE REGIONAL LEAGUE

For starters Vurra Fc is a team based in Adjumani.Vurra fc is a merger of the then comboni fc of Adjumani and Vurra Fc of Moyo in 2018. Since Vurra Fc was a household name in Madi sub region and had participated in the Big league during the 2014/2015 before relegation, the management agreed the name remain Vurra Fc but based in Adjumani the ground of Comboni fc.

The troubles of this team began from the merger since there was no clear boundary of responsibilities allocated.however the team has pushed on upto this point of withdrawal from the regional league.

Reasons for withdrawal of this team range from poor administration,limited players to financial difficulty.

According to sources as you read this article Vurra Fc chairman resigned his position, the club has no CEO and most players are in disray.

The club decided on the 7th of February 2020 to write to the Westnile Regional football association indicating their intentions to withdraw from the league.Citing a couple reasons for their withdrawal from the league.

The icing to the total withdrawal is the limited registered players and the position of the club currently in the Nile region.sitting rock bottom after amassing a total of 3 points from a potential 18 points.

However this withdrawal has put the Westnile Regional FA on the spotlight over issues of club support and player registration at the regional level and licensing in all the lower leagues like fourth division and fifth division.
