UNPREDICTABLE ONDUPARAKA FC HOST EXPRESS FC IN ARUA

In case of any comparisons, Onduparaka fc and Express fc are not so distant in terms of form this term but in contrast, the latter lies ahead in terms of marks collected.

An existence of some fairly agreeable bragging rights in the encounters that have involved both sides in the past 5 seasons is evident given the statistics in the library.

But from all angles, this looks an enticing affair if the current form of the sides is considered.

Westnile Sports hub www.westnilesports.com took time off to look at historical facts, statistics and current situation to drive towards a fair assessment of what will happen.

There should be no worries for the caterpillars at all if the same momentum gained during the game against Police fc in the last home game is to go by.

It is evident that the home side will have several changes given the suspensions to full backs Okocha Rashid and Adriko Gasper from the last outing.

In a tactical switch www.westnilesports.com anticipates, George William Lutalo will have to deploy Jimmy Ndalambi to left back for Rashid Okocha and Rashid Yakin who has been playing in the central midfield position will shift to his boyhood right back position that was being taken care of by the suspended Adriko Gasper.

The central midfield gap left by Rashid Yakin is more likely to be filled by Katerega Abbasi.

Off the Sc Villa game, there were clear signs that Oloro Nathan was not at his best and if anything is to go by, either Gibson Adinho or Allan Busobozi will have to walk in.

A center back pairing of Isaac Okello and Amayo Ahmed as well as Matthias Muwanga in goal should not be a worry at all from previous observations.

Games are won from goals and if any Onduparaka fc disciple must have some faith in this game, it should be due to the level of sharpness exhibited by Muhammed Shaban during the 2-1 loss to Sc Villa.

Mostly deployed as a lone striker, a limping Muhammed Shaban scored his first goal of the season but got substituted by half time.

Anticipation is that a fully fit Shaban and Gabriel Matata upfront will supported by James Jarieko and Okech Emmanuel.

This will be Onduparaka’s 4th home game of the season after having drawn against UPDF fc, lost to Bul fc and won against Police fc from the first three.

Express fc

The reigning league champions have had one of the most difficult starts to a league campaign.

Since winning the league, the Red Eagles have participated in the CECAFA Kagame cup in Tanzania, the Uganda Cup and the CAF Champions league games.

Fatigue could have plagued the side as well but to any squad with that kind of depth, Wasswa Bbosa has no excuses not to grab maximum points from Arua.

However, if anything close to maximum points will move their way, it will have to be without the services of defender Murushid Juuko, Martin Kizza, Nicholas Kasozi, George Ssenkaaba, Ivan Mayanja and stylish former Onduparaka fc midfielder Abel Eturude due to injuries and sicknesses.

But the attacking threats will never cease as the visitors have Eric “Kenzo” Kambale, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Joseph Akandwanaho and John Byamukama within their ranks.

Head to Head

Wasswa Bbosa has never lost a league game to Onduparaka fc at the Greenlight stadium as head coach of Tooro United, Sc Villa and now Express fc.

Godfrey Lwesibawa loves scoring against Onduparaka fc in Arua. His first, though largely helped by a Nicholas Ssebwato howler was for Tooro United on 5th April 2019 and another for Sc Villa on 10th March 2018, both coming as a student of Wasswa Bbosa though from different schools.

Out of the last 5 home duels in between the two sides, Onduparaka’s has won once being the 2-1 courtesy of a Rashid Toha penalty and a late winner from Kabon “Messi” Living on 5th May 2017.

Two consecutive barren draws were followed by a 1-0 loss and a 1-1 last season.

The last time the Caterpillars triumphed the Red Eagles was on 7th September 2019 with goals from Ceasor Okhuti and Gibson Adinho at Wankulunkuku stadium.

The 5 home fixtures in between the two sides have produced 6 goals with both scoring 3 each.

Had he travelled with the team, Express fc midfielder Abel Eturude would be making a return to his former employer but this will also be a nice date for Onduparaka fc goal keeper Matthias Muwanga who faces his former teammates with whom they together won the Uganda premier league last season.

Onduparaka fc defender Isaac Okello had a short stint with the Red eagles before another life in Kenya.

Onduparaka fc get into this fixture having collected 8 points off 7 games and occupy the 9th position while Express fc sit 6th with 11 points after the same number of games.
