Talking Points from Onduparaka Vs Express Game.

Alas!!!! it is a draw, that is the expression you could get from the facial expression of Coach Vialli Bainomugisha of Onduparaka after coming from a goal down against Express Fc, a team coached by wasswa Bossa who is known to collect maximum points against onduparaka.however this time after the game he was not impressed by the performance of his express team and complained of officiation claiming he always gets red cards against onduparaka which affects him and his team. That aside the onduparaka team which looked ragged with many new comers into the first team due FUFA’s usual delay in licensing players looked shaky in the first 15 minutes but eventually started creating chances as the game went on into the break trailing a goal down. The second half saw onduparaka equalize through Living Kabon penalty and rest is history as the game ended in one all full time draw.

Ajobe”Toto” of Onduparaka goes in for a challenge

My take from this game.

Fufa has a big challenge when it comes to planning licensing of players for the league. The 13 licenses for the players who made it  on match day were got that very morning, precisely CEO Shaba was still at Fufa awaiting by Friday 4th/12/2020 till close to midnight. Onduparaka had only four first players with licenses of the approved thirteen (13) player and two (2) bench licenses. I failed to get the details from Express FC since they were tight lipped. Same complaints came from the game between Kyetume and debutants Kitara

The new onduparaka technical bench and players will give a decent run to the so-called big teams and title contenders. As mentioned by Coach Vialli during a pre match press conference, his ambition in the first season is have decent finish in the league then contend for the title the coming season. Since this is a very new project for him. He hopes to expose these new crop of players who have mostly been featuring in the lower leagues of Ugandan football. We should embrace ourselves to see new Orits and Ahebwas emerge from the pool of “Unknowns”.

Whichever team Coach Waswa Bossa brings to Arua will most likely to a pick a red card, this is based on the way he instructs them and mouthwatering insults he hauls at them while on the receiving end at the touchline.

Murushid Juuko and Eturude Abel are just another bunch of over hyped players who are past their prime. Had a lot of expectations from them but nothing came by apart from the goal line clearance from Juuko.

Express Fc are far away from title contenders given the fact that financially they look strong get sponsors over sponsors and seeing some improvement in organizational structure and glimpses of few fans returning to the fold of express. However, their football is far far behind.

This so-called live broadcast is joke itself. The quality of the broadcast from star times TV really gives meaning to the phase ” ama dri ciria” lugbara version for “tu li mu struggle”. The  pre match and match  commentary is for another day. All in all Startimes TV still has long way to Go.
