As new seasons usually approach, there are a lot of underground engagements by teams in preparation for the tasks ahead.

And for Westnile’s Arua Hill Sc, there is no better time to do this than now.

Words that filtered through last night confirm that Charles Livingstone Mbabazi has agreed a 3 year deal with the side after numerous days of negotiations in between the parties about remuneration and other personal terms.

Reports obtained indicate that the former Bright Stars Fc, Onduparaka Fc, Wakiso Giants Fc, Mbarara City and Kyetume Fc tactician spent his entire weekend in Arua to finalize the deal.

Livinstone Mbabazi giving drills during his days at Onduparaka Fc in 2017. He is set to do the same for city neighbors Arua Hill Sc effective season.

But one wonders what would pull the man back to the same vicinity yet he previously left on familiar circumstances.

As jotted by this website a few weeks back, Mbabazi dealt with a handful of the current playing and management staff at Arua Hill Fc during his days at Onduparaka Fc in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons and these factors made the deal sail through easily.

The same source that preferred anonymity revealed that;

“Immediately after signing the agreement, Mbabazi clearly stated the kind of players he wants to deal with in the coming season and this has left the team with no option than having a massive clear out of players that the team signed last season”.

To confirm that, it has been widespread during the same weekend that the club released a total of 12 players including experienced Rashid Agau, Leku Alfred and Simba Sabir.

Remember Agau Rashid left Onduparaka Fc for Maroons Fc during Mbabazi’s reign at the Greenlight stadium due to tactical reasons.

Has the same reason come back to bite the stylish winger?

As a performance condition to Mbabazi, it has been clearly paragraphed that the team must finish in the top four (4) positions next season and must vie for the title from the subsequent season.

In comparison to the Archimedes principle, Mbabazi’s arrival has already had some effects on the state of affairs in the technical set up of the team.

So what next for Hussein Mbalangu?

This website can confirm that the man who led the Kongolo side to the “Promised Land” last season has been handed a simple lifeline to decide in between two (2) options; that is, to either become an assistant to Mbabazi or be drifted to the position of a Technical Director.

No feedback was obtained from Hussein in regard to the available options by the time of this article.

Just a couple of weeks back, Arua Hill Sc was linked to Mike Mutebi but the deal fell through as his demands were way beyond the club’s limits.

Mutebi had requested for $5,000 (approximately UGX 17,775,000 million) per month as salary, a well-furnished apartment in Arua and Ugandan shillings 200,000 as daily training allowance.

That could not be swallowed at any second of any minute of the several hours the club was in negotiation with the former KCCA Fc tactician.

So with all the changes in place, is The Almighty finally lowering His hand down on Westnile with the first ever league trophy?

My answer is a definite yes but Brethren, prayers are highly required in this as well………..………………………

  1. Hussein mbalangu did a tremendous job for ARHSC, he should be Livingston’s assistant, just imagine finishing big league without losing to any club… He deserves more from the proprietor before game starts,,,..#Tualu ama kongolo
