KITARA FC HALTS CALVARY’S WINNING RUN

Draw it was. The much anticipated battle between second paced Kitara Fc from Hoima and third place Calvary Fc from Yumbe lived to it is billing with goals flowing for either side.

Calvary Fc took the lead in the 36th minute after Kitara goalkeeper failed to deal with a Tabu Vitalis free kick to allow Choka Julius pounce on the loose ball to give Calvary a half time lead. However things changed in the second half as Kitara equalized through Lomoro Peter in the 64th and took the lead through a beautifully curled volley by Mugume Patrick in the 72 minute. This lead was short lived as Kilama came off the bench to level matters in the 81st minute to salvage a point for the home team.

The draw at Ababet Greenlight stadium leaves Calvary Fc fourth placed on Big league Table by difference, as Blacks Power leapfrog both Kitara Fc and Calvary Fc to second place with a superior goal difference as teams tie on 15 points.

The last games of the first half of the season will be very interesting to follow. Calvary Fc will be traveling away to face bottom side MYDA fc in Tororo while Kitara will be hosting Ndejje University on the 2/01/2022.

Some of the results from yesterday’s action.
