In a bid to reinforce the team ahead of next season’s FUFA Big league, Yumbe side Calvary Fc has completed the acquisition of three (3) players from Paidha Black Angels Fc.
The negotiations over the transfers of Choka Julius, Eric “Chicharito” Oting Cwinyu and Odagiu Khalid that began a fortnight ago formally ended today with the signing of documents in Arua city.
The players were free agents since their contracts with the Zombo based side elapsed on 30th June 2021, a fortnight after the club got relegated from the Big league to the Regional league.
Upon conclusive personal term agreements with the respective players last week, Calvary Fc cleared all their sign on fees and only had to meet the officials of Paidha Black Angels to finalize the business today.
In the presence of officials from both sides, the transfers were formally executed and Calvary Fc also parted ways with a significant sum of money to Paidha in what the Calvary PRO referred to as “player development fee”.
In a one on one with www.westnilesports.com after the event,the head of communications at Calvary Fc, Paul Candia explained that;
“We are aware that the players we have acquired ran out of contracts but we simply had to pay Paidha an appreciation fee for having brought the players to the standards we have appreciated”.
Former captain Choka Julius and Eric Oting signed two (2) years contracts each as Odagiu Khalid signed for a year.
The contract signings and player presentations were in the presence of Calvary Fc director Aniku Vincent, club manager Onzima Kizito, technical director Dudu Bosco and PRO Candia Paul as Paidha Black Angels Fc was represented by former coach Morgan Chansley.
The trio is Calvary’s first signing after the club acquired the services of a new technical team recently.
