Hippos storm Afcon U20 semi finals in Mauritania

The Hippos Uganda’s U20 made a historic match into the semi finals of the on going African U20 nation’s championship held in Mauritania after edging Burkina Faso in spot kicks 5-3.

The Hippos overcame the Burkina Faso side after enduring 120 minutes which saw no goals scored by either side. The winner would then be decided by the spot kicks where Uganda emerged victor.

The hero for the Ugandan side was Jack Komakech who stopped the first spot kick from the Burkinabe player before other players from the Uganda side nicked all their spot kick.

Uganda now awaits the b ictor between Morocco and Tunisia the semi final date.
