Uganda Withdraws from Hosting Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations 2020

The Latest Communication from the Confederation of African Football Headquarters in Egypt show that Uganda has withdrawn from Hosting the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nation. This was shared during CAF Execuctive Committee Meeting held yesterday via Video Conferencing to discuss the future of competitions and other related issues following the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meeting a number of decision were reached, which included rescheduling of the Total African Cup of Nations to Jauary 2022.
How ever the dates for the finals and the remaining qualifier matches were not yet scheduled whereas the total women’s African cup of Nations was cancelled due to challenges which were not specified.

The Total African Nations championship which was scheduled to take place in Cameroon was pushed to January 2021 but the venue remains Cameroon.
The CAF Presdent Ahmad Ahmad was quoted saying ” The CAF Executive Committee is satisfied with the Cameroonian authorities for their commitment towards the hosting of the two competitions. Cameroon is ready to host either competition and are within schedule,”

Decision on Youth Football
The U-17 AFCON Finals will take place in July of 2021. CAF executive has already proposed a meeting with the organizers of youth competitions in the zonal Unions and competitions for youth football to finalize zonal qualifications
Decision of CAF Champions league
The venue for the semi finals and finals of the Caf Champions League are yet to be decided by the Caf Executive commitee
Decision on CAF Confederations Cup
Morroco will host the semi Finals and the finals of Caf Confederations Cup.
These Interclub Championships will be played in the month of September and will be in a single match format
